Which do you think is easier, American or British English? Please explain your answer.
Happy writing!
I think American English is more easier than British English. In my country, all school's teacher are teach us American English pronunciation and also spelling. Maybe where ever which English you speak people will understand, but I think American English will be more easier to know what are they talking about. Almost all people in my country who can speak English are speak American English. For example, there is a British teacher who already teach us for one year. I had some conversation with him before. He have strong British English accent that I need to listen carefully and some times I guess a lot what is he talking about. Although both English are English, but there are some little different. In my opinion, I think American English is more easier than British English.
ReplyDeleteWe can not say surely American or British English is easier to learn. Usually British English is considered such as a classic in the pronunciation of the language. To me personally it is easier to learn. Maybe because I took the first steps in spoken in the UK? In the U.S., I met with a strange pronunciation, such as "gana to," "yep," etc. Also, the construction of sentence easier for me into the British. For example, the British, "I have not experience" in the U.S. will already a different "I do not have the experience." British language is more formal and direct than American. I like it. American English dominates in the business, diplomatic, and informational spheres of international relations, so I continued to study English in the United States. In general, they are both the English and the difficulties to study each of them can be explained only by the individual skills, rather than objective reasons.
ReplyDeleteSorry I can't say American English or British English is easier to learn, because I didn't learn British English. In my opinion there are no easy or difficult language itself I mean American English same British English but differ in pronunciation of words and pronunciation of the language. Through what I hear that British English is easier from American English for some reasons. First, British English and clear in speech and hearing but not the other way around. Second British English is easier grammer of American English. For example, britons say ''four hundred and thirteen thousand'' and american say ''four hundred thirteen thousand''. Third, British English do not use words such as Mini languages streets same American English .
ReplyDeleteHi every one.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion It’s similar in grammar. But different in speking and pronunciation. The english is difficult anywhere in American, British, and Australian. In my experience the easiar is American, because in the british you must say the sentence in perfect grammar or they will nt answer you.
Also, there is not short word. For example, USA they said United States Of America. But I like American stayle of speech.
Finally, there is no different between American and British in grammer.
Hi
ReplyDeleteI think both of them easy ,and each one has similar grammar.
But,British English has different speaking and pronunciation letters than American English. Also, some of words has different writing formal. I would to say things about speaking American English use to speak Mini words ,and different sound from each word, but British English use to speak more classic I can say that.
Finally, I heard that british people who doesn't speak with them correctly they won't give him answer.
Hey guys,
ReplyDeleteOne of my teachers in the past was Briton, he taught English grammar. I couldn't understand him very well not because of the grammar was tough, actually because of his accent. I didn't see many different between American and British English, it almost the same. I saw some differences such as adding extra letter or remove it. The most tough thing to understand in Briton people accent is the "R" pronounce. for example, when Briton want's to say ( water ) he just say ( wata ) this is confusing some times. And in American people they says ( wader instead of water ) this is not hard and almost clear. So in my opinion the American English is mush easier than British English.

ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion American English is easy, because there are of shortcuts. For example, it’s, she’s, he’s, and there’s. I think the shortcuts make the sentences easier, and make it more useful. The grammars there aren’t more grammar as British English. And the British English is complex as the American English. Because they aren’t use the shortcuts to make the sentences more easily and there are a lot grammars. I think the different between American and British just the shortcuts and the grammars, but the vocabulary is same.
